Issues

Transportation & Public Safety

I’ll prioritize keeping people safe by building trust between police and community, and taking steps to curb speeding and reckless driving. I’ll fight for fare-free buses, and pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure like sidewalks, bike paths, lighting, and signage.

Housing & City Planning

We must pass zoning reforms, and focus on affordable rents and pathways to homeownership for working families. We need a real, long term plan for Waltham that centers the voices and needs of all residents, not out of town corporations focused only on profits.

Small Businesses & A Green New Deal

I’ll fight for an all-pedestrian Moody Street and secure technical assistance and grants for small business owners to help them grow. By investing in technologies like solar panels and heat pumps, we can save residents money and build pathways to good-paying local jobs.

Accountable & Transparent Government

We need to move important city information from physical bulletin boards to your news feed or inbox. You deserve to know what’s happening at City Hall, how the city council votes, and to have an impact on their decision making. It’s time to audit City Hall.

Schools & Quality of Life

The city is defunding our schools. We must invest in youth sports, after school programs, and vocational-technical education. I’ll advocate for safe and clean streets, free pest control, and reliable city services like sidewalk shoveling and street repair.

Seniors & The Environment

The City should help connect seniors with health services to ensure that they can comfortably age in place. The heat island effect is negatively impacting Southside residents. We need to plant trees, green roofs, and support small urban farms and parks.
